Buzz, buzz and more buzz

This is probably one of the most popular cakes. Ive done it for a nephew, a near enough nephew and a very good friends boy. It gets the same reaction every time... A smiley little boy with lots of icing on his mouth!

Ella's Witch!

Wendy the Witch 1/2 Finished

The main cake is done.

The final product, This was chocolate mudcake with buttercream icing and French Fry chips to accent the broom. The star cupcakes were Peanut butter flavoured cake with buttercream icing and gold edible dust.
The birthday girl and all her friends loved the cake.

Just some random cakes...

A buttercream icing on vanilla sponge

Mia's Rainbow cake

 The top of the cake

It was a very tall cake

I had so much fun trying this cake for the 1st time and was really pleased with how it turned out. I wanted the inside to be a surprise for Mia so I left the outside fairly plain. The cakes were basic butter cakes with wilton colouring, buttercream icing and chantilly cream between the layers. The cake tasted fantastic and Mia loved it! It does take a while to do with cooking each layer, so I found it best to have more then one tin.

Hannah's 1st Birthday cake.

The fondant crowns for Hannah's princess cake

I attempted candy crystals for the 1st time, I was surprised they were fiddly but fairly easy. But then I used to make alot of toffees when I was a teenager.

The cakes out of the oven

This is the finished product. The crown layer is a white chocolate mud cake with buttercream piped icing and the base layer is chocolate mud cake with chocolate icing. The flowers are also fondant. I was happy with it and everyone enjoyed it.
The cake was for my little girl Hannah's 1st Birthday.

I also dabble in personalised invitations, I did this one for my daughter for her 1st birthday.
